Northern Elite // Financial assistance

Every kid plays.

Cost should never be the reason a child misses out. Ottawa families can get help with soccer registration fees through Jumpstart, KidSport and Their Opportunity. Here is how each one works and how to apply.

How it works with Northern Elite

  1. Talk to us first. Email info@yoursoccerclub.com (in confidence). We confirm the right program, dates and fee, and give you the club details each funder asks for.
  2. Register your player on Play 2 Earn. KidSport requires you to be registered before you apply.
  3. Apply to one or more funders below as early as possible. Grants are first come, first served and can take 4 to 8 weeks.
  4. Funding is paid to the club, not to you, and is applied to your player’s registration.

Your information stays private. Coaches and teammates are never told who received support.

01 / Funding programs

Three ways to get help.

You can apply to more than one. Program rules and amounts are set by each funder and can change, so check their site for the latest details.

FAQ / Questions

Funding questions.

Can I apply to more than one program?

Yes. Many families combine grants. Funders may ask whether you have received other support, so answer honestly.

Does funding cover the full registration fee?

Sometimes. Jumpstart grants go up to $300 and KidSport grants up to $250 per child per year. If a gap remains, talk to us about it in confidence.

When should I apply?

As early as possible, ideally before the season starts. Grants are limited and processing takes several weeks.

Will anyone at the club know?

Only the staff who process registration. Coaches, teammates and other parents are never told.
